How did Katie get that presenting job at the SAG Awards?

I was surprised that Katie Holmes presented an award this past weekend at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, and apparently I wasn't alone in that thinking.

Apparently the Cruise Family has been getting threats from anti-Scientology groups and they are taking these threats seriously.

I think Suri and Katie's bodyguard looks more like Mary Poppins than the great protector.  Stick a sippy cup under one arm and a stroller in front of him, and it would look like me any given weekday.
