Mel Gibson and his wife of twenty-eight years are divorcing and according to reports, this may be the most expensive divorce settlement in the history of EVERYTHING (okay, slight exaggeration but it could be HUGE.)
Estranged wife Robyn stands to get around half of Mel's billion dollars income from over those almost three decades they were together.
Word is they have been seperated since Mel's DUI in 2006 and this past weekend Mel confided in church members at Easter Mass that she has filed for divorce and is asking for joint custody of their only minor child, plus support.
It's always sad when a marriage breaks up, especially after so many years and children together but let's hope this doesn't become a mud slinging fest or public battle for the children's sake. The Gibsons have seven children together: Thomas (9), Milo (19), Louis (21), William (24), twins Edward and Christian (26), and Hannah (28).
