The story goes like this: Miley Cyrus wanted to meet Radiohead at the Grammy's. Like, really bad.
“They’re like, my rock god. I am obsessed with them. This is the only person I would probably cry over. I would cry,” she said during an interview on a radio show at the beginning of the month.
But Radiohead, as it turned out, wanted nothing to do with Miley.
Backstage at the Grammy's, Miley had her manager approach the band's people for a possible meet-up. Radiohead's response, which came through their manager? “We don’t really do that."
BURN!
So, like, that really hurt Miley's feelings. She and her friends were like, totally freaking out at the propect of meeting Thom and the gang, but after the diss, she took off.
“I left ’cause I was so upset. I wasn’t going to watch! I’d already texted all my friends, we were all freaking out," she said.
She also called the band mean, which has apparently bothered Thom enough to get his last word in.
“When Miley grows up, she’ll learn not to have such a sense of entitlement," he said in a statement.
I love Thom Yorke.
