Law & Order: SVU star Mariska Hargitay star wound up in the hospital last week for the second time this year - she suffered a partially collapsed lung back in January and was hospitalized in New York last Wednesday after "experiencing some discomfort relating to her earlier lung condition", according to her reps.
And although they said Mariska would not miss any time on the set of SVU, they're now confirming that she will in fact miss several weeks of filming in order to recouperate. Turns out her relapse was more serious than initially suspected.
"Mariska is recovering well and is expected to return to SVU in the next couple of weeks," the statement read.
She'll miss one episode, entitled Baggage. Filling in for her is her co-star, Ice-T.
