Ashlee Simpson is pissed off that her sister Jessica's full-figure is making national headlines - and rightfully so.
Jessica performed in Florida over the weekend and was immediately slammed for her outfit (which, I have to admit, was kind of justified) and her "weight gain" (totally not justified).

In protest, Ashlee took to her blog to defend her sister (who I personally think looks fan-fuckin'-tastic) and lash out at media outlets.
I am completely disgusted by the headlines concerning my sister's
weight. A week after the inauguration and with such a feeling of hope
in the air for our country, I find it completely embarrassing and
belittling to all women to read about a woman's weight or figure as a
headline on Fox News.
All
women come in different shapes, sizes, and forms and just because
you're a celebrity, there shouldn't be a different standard.
Is this something you would say to your wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, or even a friend?
I seriously doubt it.
How can we expect teenage girls to love and respect themselves in an environment where we criticize a size 2 figure?
Now can we focus on the things that really matter.

Here's something I don't say every day: I totally agree with Ashlee. I've read so. many. stories. this week slamming Jessica for her curves, and honestly? I've found it really disheartening. In this day and age, there are far more important things to be spouting off about and criticizing than a young woman's reported weight gain. People need to back off and leave Jessica alone.
/end rant

Puh-leeze. I agree that her weight is irrelevant, but hey, didn't 'Ash' have a nosejob a couple of years ago?
But that was for a deviated septum, right?
We wouldn't want to send the wrong message to teenaged girls.
