In response to a rousing chorus of "Ashlee and Pete didn't get enough money for photos of their newborn" earlier this month, Pete Wentz wrote on his web site that he and his wife didn't want to "go down that road" with their son.
In the entry, titled Ring, Ring, It's The Truth Calling, Pete said the couple were offered "mounds and mounds of money by mags, by mags, from here to Guam, to pimp out the baby" - mounds that the new parents didn't accept.
Noting that they weren't judging celebrity couples who do splash pictures of their newborns on magazine covers in exchange for the greenbacks, Pete said they'd share their son with the rest of the world when the time was right.
"There will be a time when we'll share him with everyone because that insatiable curiousity [sic] becomes unsafe, or simply because we're proud parents who want to show him off! At some time, when it makes sense, Bronx will be out in the world."
That time, apparently, was over the holidays - Ashlee and Pete updated their website on Christmas Day with an e-card that showed off their newest addition.

I like the fact that mounds and mounds of money isn't this couple's top priority, and the picture is really sweet...but. Ashlee. Pete. Come on! I want to see more of Bronx and less of you, dammit! I mean, you can barely see his face!
Next holiday, post a picture that shows off the wee'un a bit more. Mmmkay?
