It sometimes sucks to have a reputation and Lily Allen learned the invasive hard way on a recent trip.
Lily was travelling to the Dubai for the opening of The Atlantis, the world's most expensive resort, when she was stripped search at the airport upon her arrival.
Because you see, in the United Arab Emirates, if you have a reputation for doing drugs, you get to do the bend over, grab yer' ankles, and cough routine so they can keep their place clean (*shudder*) and Lily's reputation proceeded her.
I was strip-searched, which was so nice as soon as you arrive. I knew
I didn't have anything on me so I wasn't worried. I wasn't paranoid,
just terrified. It was at the airport and took more than an hour.
It was really scary as they didn't tell you what they were doing, they
just said, "Take off trousers" and I was like, "Ahhh help."
EWWWWWWWWW - mental note: don't go to Dubai.
