We all know that Tom kept Katie pretty isolated when they lived out West but once she made a break (run, Katie, run) for New York, he obviously let up on her socialization with chosen Scientology-approved folk. Actually, he knew that she probably wouldn't have any time to mix with normal people between being mom to the cutest kid and being on Broadway. Anyhow, now that she is in NYC and Posh dropped her for Kate Beckinsale, who is playing the role of Katie's new gal pal?
Well I'll be - it's not an approved Scientology friend - it's soon-to-be-a-divorcee Peaches Geldof.
Word is, Peaches Geldof interviewed Katie for Nylon magazine and after they were done they continued to talk. Soon the two were enjoying afternoon tea at a suite in the Rivington Hotel (Starbucks must have been closed because the Rivington private suite is always my backup plan too when in NYC).
Apparently Peaches played with Suri while Katie read movie scripts and the two dished about... well god knows what they dished about but a "source" said that Katie gave Peaches lots of advice and Peaches says Katie is a really nice person and Suri is adorable (duh).
It's amazing how being nice and being a zombie are often confused like that.
If TomKat is planning a British Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Peaches would be a social status friend to have on board. But I'm not sure Tommy would approve of Katie hanging with someone who was recently arrested for buying drugs.
