Reports are starting to trickle in that Britney Spears' youngest son, Jayden James, had a seizure yesterday afternoon and was rushed to the hospital.
UPDATE ON THIS STORY after the jump.
It looks like The Sun originally broke the news, reporting that Britney rushed Jayden to a Mississippi hospital after he lapsed in to a "vague and unresponsive state". The singer immediately called an ambulance, but after being told it would take up to a half hour to arrive, she and her entire family decided to take him themselves.
“One minute Britney and her sons were relaxing and enjoying their first visit to Kentwood in months, and the next minute Jayden had fallen ill," a source told The Sun.
Doctors were apparently unable to determine the cause of the seizure and kept Jayden overnight for observation. Britney refused to leave and asked for a bed next to him, and K-Fed is reportedly in the process of heading south as well.
In their coverage of this story, Celebitchy notes that although The Sun cites reports in the US, they've yet to see confirmation of any US sources, and neither have I. If and when we hear of a concrete, reliable source we'll update this story, but in the meantime, we hope that Jayden James is okay.
UPDATE:
The always-reliable People is reporting that Jayden did indeed spend the night in a hospital, but there was no mention of him having a seizure. Turns out Britney's little guy had an allergic reaction.
"He had hives, was itchy and irritable," a source told People, adding that Britney's mother, Lynne, spent the night at the hospital with her daughter and grandson and that they're "just not sure" what caused the reaction.
Jayden was kept overnight for observation, and is said to be doing well now.

Now that's scary for any parent, I hope it's not true, and if so, I hope he's okay.
