Johnny Depp's girlfriend doesn't like the red carpet

Vanessa Paradis, the longtime girlfriend of Johnny Depp, says that being on the red carpet makes her feel "tiny."

Vanessa's no stranger to fame - not only has she been dating one of the most famous men on the face of the planet for the last ten years, she's well-known in France as a singer, actress and model.

Despite all of that, walking the red carpet - and the fast-paced Hollywood lifestyle - makes her uncomfortable.

"The red carpet is not something I really know how to work. It intimidates me. I feel very tiny," she admits.

"I don’t have famous neighbours and if I did, I’d avoid them. I don’t live the jet-set."

Although fame and being in the public eye does leave her feeling unsettled, Vanessa is quick to point out how fortunate she is.

"I’m really lucky. I do stay in wonderful houses, hotels and that’s amazing but we’re not very sociable at all," she says, adding, "We don’t go to parties or premieres."

Vanessa sounds like a girl after my own heart - I too am more of a homebody, and I like it just fine, thankyouverymuch. Vanessa, the next time you and Johnny find yourselves in Canada, feel free to come over and chill on my couch any time. Just don't get offended when I start dry-humping your man, okay?
