Brad Pitt has made his stance on California's Proposition 8 - a bill that would ban same-sex marriage - clear, to the tune of $100,000.
The donation, made to the group Californians Against Eliminating Basic Rights, is the single largest donation made by a celebrity to date.
If Proposition 8 passes, only a union between a man and a woman would be recognized within the sate of California. It's not clear if gay couples who have already wed in the state this year (take Ellen and Portia and George and Brad, for example) would still be recognized as married if the bill passes.
Brad and Angelina have said in the past that they would only consider marriage if everyone within the U.S. was legally able. In a statement, Brad said, "Because no one has the right to deny another their life even though they disagree with it, because everyone has the right to live the life they so desire if it doesn't harm another and because discrimination has no place in America, my vote will be for equality and against Proposition 8."
Hear, hear.
