How does Keira Knightley overcome the pre-audition jitters?
She gets drunk - a practice that probably would result in unhappy endings for many, but worked for her.
In the September issue of Glamour (U.K.), Keira admitted that pounding a few back was the only way she would sing during her audition for the movie remake of the 1964 movie musical My Fair Lady.

"I probably did slur my words," she said. "I told [producer Cameron Mackintosh] that would be the only way I could sing in front of everyone."
The upside to pounding a few back before an audition is, obviously, the confidence boost. The downside?
"The problem with doing it is that alcohol dehydrates you, which isn't very helpful for singing," Keira said. "But they said it was alright."
Alright enough to cast her as the role of Eliza Doolittle, a character previously played by film legend Audrey Hepburn.
So Keira gets drunk for an audition and lands the part. It sounds like quite the magical place, Hollywood.
