Case dismissed: though she was subpoenaed by a federal grand jury after Heath Ledger's death and wanted immunity before testifying, the U.S. Attorney's Office has dropped its investigation into The Dark Knight star's accidental death. Suspicion arose when it was discovered that a masseuse who was at Heath's apartment at the time of his death called Mary-Kate three times upon finding his body.
Morgan Freeman was released from the hospital yesterday afternoon after a serious car accident on Sunday night that landed him in the operating room. Morgan will be in a neck brace for several months, but is, in his own words, "doing very well. I feel real good. I just really, I thank the staff at 'Elvis Presley [Hospital]' and many, many thanks to my many well-wishers. It's great to know people care about you."
Speaking of Morgan Freeman, it was revealed that he and his wife of 24 years, Myrna Colley-Lee, have been separated since December of '07 and are divorcing.
