I'm still not 100% sure why people are all in a hullabaloo over Lilo being gay or bi or whatever she is (okay, I do know why but only because I'm also the kind of person that uses the word "hullabaloo" while trying to pretend I understand these kids today and seem cool or hip or whatever is jive). BUT back to Lilo and her predilection for the ladies.
Apparently there was a Courtenay before there was a Samantha. Courtenay Semel has spilled all to the The News of the World and claims that she had a steamy hush-hush affair with Lilo prior to, and overlapping her very public romance with Stitch, I mean Samantha Ronson.
Got to love it when a former lover spills all to the tabloid - GAWD I hate it when that happens.
Anyhow, Courtenay (who I had to google and still came out pretty dry even though she claims to be an actress but appears to be more from the nepotistic arena of the fame game - get thee a wikipedia page woman, for I am very lazy) - well she claims that that her affair with Lindsay was " very passionate until her fear of being found out drove us apart".
According to the interview, Lilo apparently did truckloads of men to cover things up, dumpsters full of drugs to dull the confusion, and then checked herself in and out of rehab in an attempt to figure things out.
And to make things only slightly stranger, according to Courtenay, Samantha was initially a father figure to Lindsay who then became her now public lover.
Actually, that kind of makes sense. Think about it: if you are a confused starlet struggling with your sexuality and some mentally-stable, confident lesbian friend comes along and says "hey, deal with it, forget about the public and be proud", wouldn't you find your proverbial balls and say "f**k it" when it comes to what the general public has to say about who you knock boots with? Or is that just so normal sounding, it actually sounds weird?
So here is another glimpse into the wonderful world of Lilo and I hate to admit it, but this story made her a bit more likeable to me. Maybe it pays to have a former lover tell all to the rags. Scratch that, it sucks to have lovers tell all - just ask anyone running for the White House.
You're right, people should leave Lohan alone and stop judging her. Apart from that Herbie film, we should judge her for that, and that other film where she played her own twin which was rubbish, and most other films she's been in that aren't Mean Girls. We should judge her for those, but nothing else.
Well, her singing too, but not the dating women thing.
