The Alves / McConaughey clan grace the cover of OK! Magazine which hits the newsstands today.
Matthew opens up about becoming a father for the first time saying that he kept a diary of the whole hospital experience and dreamed of becoming a father since he was ten.
When baby Levi McConaughey arrived July 7th at Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center Matthew was apparently in the groove.
"We found a great rhythm," Matthew tells OK! about the delivery of baby Levi. "Contractions started kicking in. I sat there with her, right between her legs. We got tribal on it, we danced to it! I was DJ-ing this Brazilian music."
Whatever works for you, I guess.
"I have it all chronicled," he explained. "Becoming a dad is something I've dreamed of doing since I was 10. Becoming a father felt very, very natural. We were jamming! She was sweating. No painkiller, let's go. She just clicked into that gear that only a woman has at a time like this. We'd been up for 40-something hours, and we went from dead tired to a really steadfast, 'Let's handle this… let's stay in the rhythm. Don't let the contraction be more than you.'"
I have a feeling his "cool dude" attitude would have drove me NUTS. I would have probably been swearing up and down telling him to Shut. It.
Poor Camila has all the nitty gritty details of the delivery, vacuum and all, plastered all over a magazine. I know after having a baby there really is no shame, but to have it all over a national (international?) magazine. I'm just not cool with that.
Though it is nice to know that she didn't take the typical celebrity route and get the C-section at 36 weeks for fear her hips would spread.
