Madonna's brother, Christopher Ciccone, is set to write a tell-all book about his famous sister - without her blessing.
Three hundred and fifty thousand copies of the book, Life With My Sister Madonna, will be printed off the top. Christopher is working with author Wendy Leigh, who has written biographies about Grace Kelly and Arnold Schwarzenegger in the past.
You don't need to be a rocket scientist to figure out what Christopher's book will be about. "Ciccone's extraordinary memoir is based on his life and 47 years of growing up with and working with his sister — the most famous woman in the world," the publisher, Simon & Schuster, said in a statement made on Wednesday.
Although the siblings have teamed up together in the past - Christopher was the artistic director of 1991's Madonna: Truth or Dare (still one of my favourite movies) and as a designer and director of her infamous Girlie Show tour in '93 - this is one project that Madonna is not a part of.
When asked about the book, Madonna's spokeswoman, Liz Rosenberg, said the siblings are "no longer close," and that "Madonna has not co-operated with any biography about herself."
Perez Hilton reported yesterday that Christopher's drug and alcohol addiction is the reason why the their relationship has suffered.
"There came a point where his alcohol and drug abuse got out of control and she's had to cut him off," says Perez's "very reliable source". "M has offered to pay for rehab and doctors, but he just won't go. The last two years, his addiction has gotten really bad."
Perez's "insider" continued, saying Christopher has been evicted from his Miami apartment, has lost his car and is so hard up, he's writing the memoir for money.
"M's even offered to get him a
job if he goes to rehab, but he still won't go. She's never give
someone more chances than Christopher Ciccone," Perez reported, adding that Madonna is concerned her brother will write about things that aren't true.
Ooooh, I smell scandal a-brewin'. Something tells me this isn't the last we'll hear about this story.

ohhhhhhhh this would be the second bio on her done without consent. And the fact that it's her brother selling her out must be a real slap in the face. I may not be a fan but that really sucks (but you know I'll end up reading it... just like the other one).
