I think he figured out Katie's escape plan. Remember her supposed plan to escape with Suri to New York and become a Broadway star while Tom was off promoting his latest application of crazy skills on the big screen? Yup, well it looks like he found something else for her to do while he's away on tour.
Tom got tricky and is rumoured to be sending Katie to Scientology Gold Base compound for reeducation. A bit of Xenu and s'mores perhaps? Nature walks punctuated with a whole lotta brainwashing methinks. She must have displayed some independent thinking or he really does have her watched 24/7.
Actually it's probably a bit of both.
I know I shouldn't be so hard on them. But he makes it so damn easy.
