Madonna performed a free concert at the Roseland Ballroom in New York on Wednesday in promotion for her brand new album Hard Candy. She pulled out all the stops in her six song set. However the math does not make much sense.
For example she was on stage for a total of 32 minutes. Fans had lined up 60 hours before the performance. I suppose those numbers are not so bad for her dedicated followers who probably cherished every moment.

The thing that gets me is that I have a hard time watching Madonna gyrate with Justin Timberlake. This unease comes from the fact that Madonna is only seven years younger than my mom while Justin is a decade younger than me.
Music must transcend time. I guess that I am not advanced enough to appreciate it because I am still left with the heebie jeebies.
