OK, I'll admit it: I've kinda had a wee crush on Billy Zane in the past and now that he is single, of course, I'm taken - figures.
But I also must admit that of late, Billy is kinda carrying off that middle aged euro-dude thing a bit too successfully. He's channelling some early Bond villians, don't you think?
Billy has had the kind of film career that reminds me of Willem Dafoe's: some great roles sprinkled with lots of stinkers (like this, and this to name a couple). Sometimes I think that these guys are just trying to make the mortgage payments.
Zane (42) was until recently engaged to Kelly Brook (28). The split is rumoured to be a result of some "soul-searching" on Kelly's part. She decided he was not the man for her - which I can respect. How many women marry for the wrong reasons and realize they just aren't ready to settle down or they are with the wrong person? Personally I know too many.
Anyhow, apparently she's staying in their formerly shared estate in Kent while he has come back to Lala land to live. Some say the split was apparently amicable and they are going to remain friends.
Oh gawd, he got the "let's just be friends" line? Ouch.
Does anyone else think it was because of the hat or the moustache? Yah, you are right - it was probably the 'stache. Or the coordinating outfits.
