Every once and a while I have a fit of insane jealousy over the ASSENINE amount of money Hollywood's finest are rolling in. Just once, I'd like to be able to buy a pair of designer jeans that don't run me $4.99 and smell like someone else's ass. And while I'm at it, it'd be nice to have someone on hand to assist me in lifting my legs into said designer jeans, too.
Nope. No jealousy issues over here!
So the cockles of my cold, dead heart were warmed a little bit this morning when I read about powerhouse couple Brad and Angelina's charitable donations for 2006, and how they topped $8 million.
EIGHT. MILLION. DOLLARS.
According to People.com, new federal tax filings show the couple donated to organizations such as Doctors Without Borders, Global Action for Children, the Namibia Red Cross Action Program, the Daniel Pearl Foundation, Global Green USA and the Epidermolysis Bulloma Medical Research Foundation.
It's reported that an additional $20,000 went to an art park in Los Angeles, along with $5,000 to two orphanages.
You know what? I think that kicks ass. I know these guys are rolling in it, but hearing stories like them donating EIGHT MILLION in ONE YEAR makes that knowledge a bit easier to digest.
